Trying out 100 Hobbies: #45 Golden Hour Photography

This one was actually somewhat enjoyable. I’ve always been a morning person, and I used to love taking pictures, so it kinda felt like second nature. I don’t feel like providing each picture with some in-depth story of the history and how I got there, so just imagine that I had a smile on my face for each of them :D. Also, I’ll be adding some “food for thought” on things that I think about during the day, but never really get a chance to post about.

Food For Thought: The Birdcage Metaphor from Marilyn Frye’s does not only apply to systemic barriers. It also applies to the internal barriers that keep you from becoming the better person you want to be. Your perspective can shift from the person out the cage looking at a single wire questioning why you can’t move around it, to your realizing that you’re stuck inside. One thing’s for certain: animals do not gain freedom from realizing that they’re in a cage; whether you find the key yourself or someone helps you open the door is up to your own efforts and those of the universe. I wish you good luck on that process and whatever you do, don’t fly back in that cage, ok?

Also, your homework is to read some workings from Marilyn Frye’s, especially her Double Bind analysis.
